C.E.B.C. CHURCH and COMMUNITY UPDATE

***We have resumed Sunday 10:30 a.m. services and Wednesday 6:00p.m. Bible study*****

In consideration of our regular attendees and concern for their physical well-being, we will be implementing certain measures to ensure their safety in the best way we know how. Following is a brief list of the precautions we will be taking for now. As we move forward, these are subject to change one way or the other, if needed, or as are no longer necessary.

* No gatherings in entryway or aisles.

* Seating per household, Scattered throughout the whole auditorium

* No contact, social distancing by at least 6 feet will be observed.

* Hand sanitizer/masks are available for all.

Our reason for attempting to “re-open” has nothing to do with a felt urgency to return to “The House of God”, for this is not the case. WE are the dwelling place of the Almighty, and so WE as the Church, simply look forward to worshipping the Lord together in the only place large enough to do so…, the “building” He has provided us for that purpose. There is no expectation whatsoever on folks to attend. The decision to come or not is a personal choice of whether the individual feels safe doing so due to their own health risks and concerns. Neither is there any push for anyone to attend for any “spiritual” reasons either such as, “if the church doors are open, you should be there” mentality. Such statements are the product of the very wrongly defined meaning of “church” today and the result of the vain traditions, doctrines, and commandments of men. From the beginning of this outbreak, this has not been the thinking or practice of Cottageville Evans Baptist Church, and we will not impose such bondage on anyone now. As stated previously, if our collective gatherings are ever the result of persecution, versus a pandemic, we will be the first to defy man, and obey God instead. Meaning, if that day comes, we will continue to safely and collectively congregate wherever and whenever that may be at the time. Location, building, or time, being irrelevant.

In conclusion, may we simply praise God for having permitted all of this in the first place, whereas we believe this has been a unique opportunity for the Church worldwide to correctly define who she is, what it’s not, and to have its focus re-shifted and its trajectory re-directed. Further, it will serve to bring us closer together in unity and fellowship as the Church more than ever before. Indeed, God doeth all things well, for His Glory and our good. To HIM be glory both now and forever. Amen.

May the Lord bless and protect you all. I love you.
